Senior Engineer - HV Cable

The Senior Engineer - HV Cable will be responsible for the design, development, and management of high voltage cable projects from conception to completion. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure projects meet technical specifications, quality standards, and client requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in HV cable technology, project management skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

-Experience in Design of high-voltage cables up to 380 kV AC and 450kV DC

-perform cable sizing calculation and cables selection using CYMCAP software

-perform cables screen thickness calculation

-Knowledge of overall power cables system engineering during the detailed engineering phase including routing, cross bonding…etc.

-Knowledge of overhead transmission lines (OHTL) routing selection, feasibility studies and site assessment

- Design and develop high voltage cable systems in accordance with industry standards and specifications.
- Conduct feasibility studies, technical analyses, and cost estimations for HV cable projects.
- Prepare detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets; monitor project progress and adjust as necessary to ensure successful delivery.
- Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and contractors to ensure effective communication and project execution.
- Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Provide technical support and guidance during project implementation and handover phases.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to HV cables and recommend improvements.
- Mentor and train junior engineers and team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in high voltage cable design, installation, and project management.
