Senior BIM Technician - Structures

Mandatory Skills (Include technical or domain certifications/trainings as req.)

• Good working knowledge of Tekla with latest versions, able to use all standard functions on the software without requiring support from seniors and coach junior staff in its use
• Should have a good experience in Structural Steel Tekla structures modelling and specifications/Bar bending schedules. 
• Experience of Steel detailing in Electrical Structures like Sub stations, Industry plants related power sector and Building Structures is preferred.
• Develop and model building elements using Structural drawings/PDF's or hand drafts in Tekla software. 
• Knowledge of working in Tekla Structural Steel environment inclusive of Composite construction with Cast in situ working models. 
• Knowledge of both Structural and Architecture outlook disciplines
• Experience of working on a number of projects across different sectors 
• Experience of working on projects of various sizes, independently and as part of a project team 

• Good understanding of working for international offices and standards

• Good knowledge of industry standards and international codes

Core Functions

• Understand scope of work and delivery schedule from Senior Leads
• Input to the co-ordination of engineering services on projects
• Develop drawings from inputs received from Lead country. Make drawings and details into co-ordinated building details by set manuals. 
• Prepare sketches / RFIs etc. as necessary for seeking clarification from engineers in the Lead country. 
• Prepare / amend models and / or drawings to specified WSP in lead country Tekla/ BIM standards
•  Suggest revisions to standards / templates / custom settings as appropriate
•  Use templates for Tekla work and use Tekla library items to assist design work
•  Provide advice and coaching to technicians on intermediate Tekla functions when requested
•  Follow QA, document control, archiving guidelines on all work
• Work with project team members on specified aspects of the project

Qualifications

• The candidate should possess minimum Diploma. Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Experience: 10 to 15 years
