We are a UK-based Fintech specialising in Payments innovation. We are an enthusiastic team helping banks and institutions make the most of PSD2, Open Banking and fraud prevention solutions such as Confirmation of Payee (CoP) and Verification of Payee (VoP) in the UK and Europe.


We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive B2B sales and generate business growth for our organisation. This role requires a strong combination of sales acumen, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills.


Role & responsibilities

  • Lead Generation: Proactively identify and generate new leads through various channels, including online research, networking, referrals, and industry events.
  • Conduct Research: Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential target industries, market segments, and key decision-makers within organisations.
  • Marketing Campaigns: Plan and execute targeted marketing campaigns using tools like HubSpot or similar platforms. Develop compelling content and messages to engage prospects and drive lead conversion.
  • Email Campaigns: Create and manage email marketing campaigns, including A/B template testing, delivery optimisation, and tracking metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients. Understand their needs, provide solutions, and act as a trusted advisor to drive long-term partnerships.
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Manage the sales pipeline, track opportunities, and ensure timely follow-ups. Use CRM systems to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, leads, and sales activities.
  • Sales Presentation and Proposals: Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals tailored to the specific needs of prospective clients.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, product, and operations to ensure alignment and provide feedback on market trends, customer requirements, and competitive intelligence.
  • Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Provide regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and updates to the management team. Analyse sales data and identify areas for improvement.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge and contribute to the company's growth strategy.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in B2B sales and business development, preferably in a technology or software-related
  • Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Excellent lead generation skills and ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Proficiency in running marketing campaigns using tools like HubSpot or similar marketing automation platforms.
  • Experience in tracking and analysing email campaign metrics, including A/B testing, open rates, click-through rates, and conversions.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver compelling sales pitches and proposals.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving outcomes and delivering value to clients.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems to manage sales pipelines and track client interactions.
  • Knowledge of the industry landscape, market trends, and competitive dynamics.
