Senior Devops Engineer

Role & responsibilities

We seek a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a DevOps engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the security and stability of our systems and applications by proactively managing and automating the processes with industry-standard best security practices.

Preferred candidate profile

• Automation and Orchestration: Utilise automation tools to streamline and automate the processes, minimising manual intervention and ensuring consistent, reliable results.
• Secure Development Practices: Promote secure coding practices and educate development teams about common security issues, such as input validation, authentication, and authorisation.
• Monitoring and Reporting: Establish monitoring mechanisms to track activities, measure compliance, and generate reports for management and audit purposes.
• Configuration Management: Manage system configurations to adhere to security baselines and best practices.
• Vulnerability Assessment: Perform automated vulnerability scans, penetration tests and security assessments on code, infrastructure, and applications to identify and prioritise remediation efforts based on risk analysis and business impact.
• Threat Modelling: Identify potential security threats and model security risks in software and infrastructure.
• Access Control: Manage access controls, including role-based access control (RBAC) and identity and access management (IAM) policies.
• Security Automation: Automate security-related tasks and responses to security events, such as alerts or incidents.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices, and proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and automation enhancements.
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines to automate security testing, including static code analysis, dynamic application security testing (DAST), and dependency scanning.
