Mechanical Design Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Creation of 3D model and drawings as per Industrial standards using Creo
• Product data management using PDMlink & CPR.
• Manage Engineering change, Part status and Product attributes.
• Design, develop and qualify tooling and processes to meet TE quality and production standards.
• Creation and maintaining product specifications & Application specifications.
• Support on new product development activities, ability to support on concept generation, tolerance stack up, DFM & DFA and basic FEA activities.
• Ensure tolerance chain is maintained from individual component level thru complete assembly process. Critical dimensions identified and measured.
• Should be able to interact with global stakeholder (PM/Engineering etc.) and communicate technical details efficiently.
• Collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives using TEOA / Digital methodologies

EDUCATION/CRITICAL COMPETENCIES

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical engineering or related degree with 2+ years of professional experience
• Hands on CAD and drawing experiences with Creo (Mandatory)
• Hands on experience in Product data Management, ECR & Product life cycle management.
• Working knowledge in DFMA, DFx, GD&T & Tolerance stack up process
• Demonstrates understanding of new product development,
• Demonstrate understanding of design process.
• Knowledge of associated manufacturing processes a benefit (Molding / Stamping / Plating).
• Understands design to cost, quality and manufacturability
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to communicate, negotiate and drive results
• Must be self-motivated, organized, with the ability to prioritize, set and achieve goals and drive results.
