Role & responsibilities
Payroll Processing:
Manages tasks relating to payroll processing, such as calculating wages, deductions and taxes, ensure on time payment to employees and process companys payroll as per designated timelines
Determines organization's tax obligations by calculating national and council taxes as well as National Insurance contributions
Performs distribution of wages through issuance of paper checks or direct transfers to employees bank accounts
Form 16 & Taxation Processing:
Determines organization's tax obligations by calculating national and council taxes as well as National Insurance contributions
Provide correct Form 16 to employees as per government declared timeline
Record Maintenance & Grievance Resolution:
Resolve payroll-related issues and resolve employees pay related grievances along with honouring confidentiality of employees’ pay records
Manage Arrear Pay by coordinating requests for leave and other absences
Identifies, investigates, and resolves discrepancies in timesheet and payroll related records
Maintains payroll processing system and records by curating and processing data for record-keeping purposes and leadership review
Compliance Management:
Adheres to payroll policies, procedures and ensure compliance with local employment laws with regards to fair compensation practices (PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, Income Tax)
Supervises other payroll clerks and employees as and when needed, in regards to Payroll & Compliances
Full & Final Settlement:
Ensure authentication and time payment of F&F as per company policies (Leave Encashment, Gratuity, Notice Pay Recovery, Retention Bonus, Joining Bonus
Audit Support:
Extend support, relevant details and document to Internal as well as External Auditors
