Engineer - QS/Quantity Surveyor

Billing of quantities, Material Reconciliation, Budget estimation, Contractor Bills, Sub Contractor bills

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Estimation and Budgeting:

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on initial designs and client requirements.

Develop and maintain project budgets, ensuring all costs are tracked and managed effectively.

Assist with the preparation of tender documents, cost plans, and financial reports.

Procurement and Contract Management:

Assist in the procurement process by preparing and reviewing tender submissions, analyzing quotes, and recommending contractors and suppliers.

Negotiate contracts and manage procurement activities to ensure cost-effective purchasing of materials and services.

Review and evaluate contractor claims, variations, and invoices, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions.

Cost Control and Monitoring:

Monitor project costs against budget, identify any discrepancies, and take corrective actions as needed.

Conduct regular site visits and assessments to evaluate project progress, quality of work, and adherence to budget.

Prepare and maintain up-to-date reports on project financials, including forecasts and cost tracking.

Value Engineering and Risk Management:

Perform value engineering analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend alternatives without compromising quality or safety.

Assess and manage project risks, ensuring that they are mitigated and that potential cost overruns are avoided."
