Job Description:
Amjaad Holding, a leading company in Oman, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architect (Detail Designer) to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time position based in Oman offering an exciting opportunity for a talented architect with a minimum of 7 years of experience in architectural design and detailing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage architectural design projects from concept through to detailed design, ensuring the highest standards of quality, creativity, and functionality.
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and other design documentation, ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless coordination across all stages of the project.
- Review and analyze architectural drawings, making recommendations for design improvements and practical solutions to challenges.
- Supervise junior architects and design staff, providing mentorship and guidance in design techniques, technical standards, and project execution.
- Ensure the integration of sustainability and energy-efficient practices into design concepts.
- Oversee the preparation of cost estimates, materials selection, and vendor coordination.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to verify adherence to design and quality standards.
- Present design proposals and progress reports to clients, stakeholders, and senior management.
- Keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies in architecture, incorporating innovative practices into design solutions.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Architecture or related field (Master s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in architectural design, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Expertise in detailed design, building codes, and construction processes.
- Proficiency in design software such as Auto CAD, Revit, Sketch Up, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Solid understanding of construction documentation, specifications, and detailing.
- Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to lead teams and work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
- Knowledge of Omani building regulations and standards is highly desirable.
