About Amjaad Holding: Amjaad Holding is a leading organization based in Oman, known for its commitment to excellence in various sectors including construction, engineering, and project management. We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Resident Engineer to join our team and oversee projects from inception to completion.
Job Summary: The Resident Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of construction projects on-site. This includes ensuring that all work complies with project specifications, standards, and timelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, with extensive experience in managing construction projects and teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure project progress.
- Ensure that work is completed within the approved schedule and budget.
- Review and approve work schedules and daily reports, ensuring that activities meet project goals.
- Perform regular inspections of work and maintain detailed site reports, highlighting any issues or deviations.
- Provide technical guidance and support to site engineers, workers, and contractors.
- Collaborate with the project manager to resolve any on-site technical challenges.
- Monitor safety procedures on-site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and standards.
- Liaise with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and address concerns.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure the highest level of workmanship.
- Approve materials, equipment, and construction techniques used on-site.
- Review project drawings and designs to identify potential issues before they arise.
- Assist in the preparation of as-built documentation and project closeout reports.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction engineering, with at least 5 years in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of construction practices, materials, and techniques.
- Experience managing large-scale construction projects from start to finish.
- Familiarity with Omani construction regulations and standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong communication skills in both Arabic and English (written and verbal).
- Proficient in using project management software and engineering tools.
- Ability to make quick decisions and solve problems effectively under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
