Job Description:
Amjaad Holding, a leading company in Oman, is looking for a skilled Civil Inspector with 5 years of experience to join our team. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work on a variety of construction projects, ensuring quality and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect construction sites to ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Review and verify that all materials and workmanship meet quality standards and the specifications outlined in the project contract.
- Monitor the progress of construction activities and provide regular updates to project managers and engineers.
- Conduct daily site inspections, ensuring that the construction activities are proceeding according to plans and schedules.
- Ensure the implementation of proper safety protocols on the site, identifying and reporting any potential hazards.
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure that the work is carried out in accordance with approved designs and specifications.
- Prepare detailed reports on inspections, highlighting any discrepancies or non-compliance issues.
- Ensure that all necessary documentation is completed for site inspections and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Identify any defects or issues during construction and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist in resolving technical issues on-site and provide practical solutions to challenges faced during construction.
- Maintain and update records of site inspections, testing, and certification processes.
- Verify the quantity and quality of materials delivered to the site and ensure they match project requirements.
- Ensure that the site is organized and that all work is conducted efficiently, safely, and according to industry standards.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil construction inspection or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Familiarity with local building codes and construction practices in Oman or the GCC region.
- Experience in inspecting and supervising various types of construction works, including infrastructure, roads, buildings, etc.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other site management tools.
- Ability to identify and resolve quality and compliance issues efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to spot discrepancies and ensure standards are maintained.
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal); proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel to various site locations as required.
