Job Description

  • India s D2C wave has largely been limited to venture-funded brands until now.
  • Over 500K-1M sellers have the potential to sell D2C but are currently restricted to marketplace selling.
  • We believe brand owners should focus on creating great products, not spend time on channel optimization.
  • While platforms like Shopify manage workflows, they don t fully assist merchants in selling effectively. We change that.
Our Solution: ShopDeck offers an all-in-one software and services package designed to optimize merchants profitability. Our platform includes everything a D2C merchant needs:
  • Storefront Management
  • Shipping
  • Marketing Integrations
  • Customer Communication Tools
Our services layer works alongside our software to drive profitability for merchants. By combining the following four key roles, we offer the most comprehensive solution for D2C brands:
  1. Marketing Manager (Top-of-the-funnel strategies)
  2. Category Manager (Product and merchandising management)
  3. Product Manager (Website/app performance)
  4. Operations Manager (Shipping and logistics)
We aim to productize this services layer, shifting the baseline of what merchants expect from their storefront software.
Our Growth: With $4.5M ARR, ShopDeck has already achieved profitability. We ve raised Series B funding, led by Bessemer Venture Partners (who led Shopifys Series A) and joined by Elevation Capital, General Catalyst (formerly Venture Highway), and Chiratae Ventures.

Role: Senior Associate - Talent Acquisition
How This Role Will Shape You:
As a Senior Associate in Talent Acquisition, you will be an essential part of our fast-growing team. You ll directly influence how we build a high-performance workforce that drives ShopDeck s mission forward.

A Day in the Life:
  • Collaborate with Hiring Managers: Work closely with hiring managers to deeply understand job requirements and key priorities.
  • Craft Impactful Job Descriptions: Collaborate on creating detailed, role-specific job descriptions that attract top talent.
  • Source Top Talent: Use platforms like Naukri, LinkedIn, and more to actively source and engage with potential candidates.
  • Conduct Engaging Interviews: Lead initial interviews to assess the skills, experience, and cultural fit of candidates.
  • Facilitate Technical Interviews: Share shortlisted candidates with hiring managers and coordinate smooth technical interview processes.
  • Seamlessly Manage Scheduling: Handle all interview logistics via Google Meet, ensuring a smooth experience for both candidates and hiring teams.
  • Drive Offer Process: Follow up with candidates on documentation and ensure the timely release of offer letters.
  • Stay Connected with Candidates: Maintain consistent communication throughout the hiring journey, ensuring a seamless transition until the candidate officially joins.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Proven Experience: You have hands-on experience hiring for multiple mid level, senior roles.
  • In-House Recruitment Expertise: You re comfortable managing the full-cycle recruitment process in-house, from sourcing to onboarding.
  • Bilingual Communicator: You excel in English and Hindi, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse candidates.
  • Master Negotiator: You possess excellent negotiation skills to secure top talent while ensuring a win-win outcome.
  • Problem Solver: You thrive in dynamic environments and are ready to tackle any hiring challenge head-on.
  • Flexible Versatile: You re adaptable and eager to pitch in and support other HR activities as needed.
  • Recruitment Ready: Comfortable stepping in to support recruitment efforts for any junior, mid-level, senior roles when required.
  • Results-Oriented: You re target-driven, always aiming to meet deadlines and close positions within the set timelines.
  • Creative Thinker: You bring an innovative approach to solving staffing challenges, helping the company meet its evolving manpower needs with fresh ideas.
