Job Description

Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead and manage our efforts in expanding business in the Electrical/Solar domain. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the solar energy market, electrical systems, and business development strategies. You will be responsible for driving sales growth, building relationships with clients, and managing the business development pipeline across key regions in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Coimbatore, Gujarat and Erode.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Expansion & Sales Growth:
    Develop and implement business development strategies to increase market share in the solar energy and electrical solutions sector. Identify new business opportunities and drive revenue growth in the designated regions.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    Establish and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients, including businesses, government agencies, and residential sectors. Provide customer support throughout the sales process and ensure long-term customer satisfaction.
  • Project Management:
    Oversee the end-to-end process of solar/electrical project management, from initial consultation to successful implementation. Ensure that all projects meet quality standards and are completed within scope, on time, and on budget.
  • Market Research & Analysis:
    Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and customer needs. Analyze sales data, track competitor activities, and suggest improvements to enhance business performance.
  • Team Collaboration:
    Work closely with technical, operations, and marketing teams to ensure alignment and the successful delivery of projects. Support and mentor junior business development staff.
  • Lead Generation & Conversion:
    Generate leads through direct outreach, networking, and referrals. Convert leads into projects by presenting tailored solar/electrical solutions to clients and handling negotiations effectively.
  • Proposal & Contract Management:
    Prepare technical and commercial proposals, negotiate terms, and manage contract negotiations with clients. Work to close deals and ensure smooth contract execution.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education:
    Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree in a similar discipline is a plus.
  • Experience:
    5-8 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or project management in the electrical or solar industry. Experience in selling solar solutions, electrical products, or renewable energy technologies is highly preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    Strong understanding of electrical systems and solar energy solutions. Knowledge of regulatory frameworks, industry standards, and best practices is essential.
  • Sales & Negotiation Skills:
    Excellent ability to build relationships, pitch products, and close deals. Skilled in customer negotiations and contract management.
  • Regional Expertise:
    Familiarity with the Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Coimbatore, and Erode markets, with an understanding of local industry trends and key players.
  • Communication Skills:
    Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to present technical and non-technical information to a diverse audience.
  • Project Management:
    Ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards and meeting deadlines.
  • Networking & Relationship Building:
    Proactive in building and nurturing long-term relationships with clients, suppliers, and industry stakeholders.
  • Travel:
    Willingness to travel within the regions of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Coimbatore, and Erode as needed for client meetings, project monitoring, and business development activities.
