Taking rounds and visiting patients personally daily

• Decision making and attending to all medication error for timely action
• Escalating serious issues to the management.
• Should be aware about patient details and specifications such as patient name, treatment prescribed, ward, doctors name, medications in real time
• Monitoring the admission and discharge of patients
• Ensuring proper handover is given during shift change.
• Observing the practice of basic nursing care on a daily routine by the staff
• Ensuring the maintenance and checking of equipments of crush cart on a daily basis
• Preparing checklist in accordance with duties performed
• Coordinating with the auditor and MT during discharge procedure
• Checking of final documentation and sending across for MRD file process
• Administrating medical requirements of the patients
• Devising the mopping plan of floor on a daily basis
• Ensuring timely receiving of linen, instruments, medicines etc.
• Following up with concerned department in case of delay.
• Ensuring thorough and strict implementation of CSSD procedure like sterilization, ETO, Autoclave etc
• Checking the filing of the necessary records maintained daily
• Ordering of routine requirements on a weekly basis
• Maintaining mandatory inventory management register
• Maintaining medical record file parallelly: one for patient record and another for hospital record
• Ensuring that entry of records in registers such as bed sore, mopping plan, medicine return, incidental register etc as per NABH guidelines and hospital rules are made timely and without miss.
• Mandatorily attend the trainings he/she is nominated for.
• Escalating matters related to nursing issued to HR
• Planning budget for Nursing department.
• Represent nursing staff in various meetings and Committee meetings.
• Plan events for nursing members.
