As the Laundry Executive at Scylla Luxury Resort Spa, you will be responsible for overseeing the resorts laundry operations to ensure the efficient and effective processing of linens, uniforms, and guest laundry. Your role involves managing a team of laundry staff, implementing best practices in laundry management, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and quality in all laundry processes.
Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and supervise laundry staff, including washers, pressers, and attendants.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to ensure a cohesive and high-performing team.
- Conduct regular training sessions on laundry procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
2. Laundry Operations:
- Plan and oversee the daily laundry operations, including washing, drying, pressing, and folding of linens, towels, and uniforms.
- Monitor workflow and allocate tasks to staff to ensure timely completion of laundry tasks.
- Implement efficient scheduling to meet the laundry needs of the resort, including guest laundry services and departmental requirements.
3. Quality Control:
- Establish and maintain quality standards for laundry processing, including cleanliness, stain removal, and garment care.
- Conduct regular inspections of laundered items to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Implement corrective measures and training as needed to maintain consistent quality.
4. Inventory Management:
- Manage inventory of linens, uniforms, and laundry supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels at all times.
- Monitor usage patterns and implement controls to minimize loss and waste.
- Coordinate with the purchasing department to procure laundry supplies and equipment as needed.
5. Equipment Maintenance:
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of laundry equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Schedule routine maintenance checks and address any equipment issues promptly.
- Maintain records of equipment maintenance and repair activities.
6. Health and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all laundry operations.
- Implement proper handling and disposal procedures for chemicals and laundry waste.
- Provide training on safety protocols and personal protective equipment to laundry staff.
7. Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of laundry operations, including production reports, inventory logs, and equipment maintenance records.
- Generate reports on laundry performance, including productivity metrics, quality control measures, and inventory levels.
- Provide regular updates to management on laundry operations, performance issues, and improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Previous experience in laundry management or a similar role in the hospitality industry.
