Key Responsibilities :
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and software.
- Monitor system performance and tune configurations for optimal performance.
- Perform regular security audits and implement security measures.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Develop and execute backup and recovery plans.
- Automate repetitive tasks using shell scripting.
- Install troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues.
- Ensure high availability of systems and services.
- Implement virtualization technologies and manage virtual environments.
- Collaborate with developers to deploy applications and services.
- Provide technical support to users and resolve issues promptly.
- Document system configurations and changes made.
- Keep up with new technology trends relevant to Linux systems.
- Coordinate with other IT teams for integrated solutions.
- Participate in the planning and execution of upgrades and migrations.
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Proven experience as a Linux Administrator, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and distributions.
- Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Deep understanding of network protocols and services.
- Experience in configuring firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
- Ability to read and write scripts in Bash, Python, or Perl.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Good troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Certification in Linux (e.g., RHCE, CompTIA Linux+) is a plus.
- Experience with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork ability.
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage priorities effectively.
