Job Description :
We are seeking a skilled Linux administrator with strong experience in managing WordPress websites. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Linux operating systems, web server management, and WordPress setup, configuration, and optimization. You will be responsible for ensuring our web infrastructure is stable, secure, and scalable.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux servers (CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar distributions).
- Set up and configure WordPress websites, including plugin management, theme installation, and optimization for performance and security.
- Configure and maintain web servers such as Apache, Nginx, or LiteSpeed to host WordPress environments.
- Ensure high availability and reliability of all websites and applications, with a focus on uptime and server performance.
- Implement and maintain security measures such as SSL, firewalls, and system hardening to protect Linux and WordPress systems.
- Automate and optimize server processes using shell scripting and jobs.
- Monitor and troubleshoot server performance, manage backups, and perform disaster recovery procedures.
- Manage DNS configurations and troubleshoot domain-related issues.
- Perform routine audits of systems and software.
- Collaborate with development and content teams to troubleshoot WordPress-related issues and optimize workflows.
- Manage databases, such as MySQL, for WordPress site maintenance.
- Set up and maintain version control systems (like Git) and automate deployments as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- Proven experience as a Linux System Administrator.
- Proficiency in WordPress setup, management, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Apache, Nginx, or LiteSpeed servers.
- Strong understanding of Linux shell scripting and command-line utilities.
- Familiarity with networking concepts, DNS management, and SSL certificate installation.
- Knowledge of server security best practices.
- Experience with MySQL databases and WordPress database management.
- Ability to manage backups and set up disaster recovery plans.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools for performance tuning (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
