Fulcrum Digital - Linux Administrator (5-7 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

- Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers.

- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.

- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.

- Implement security best practices, including firewall configuration, intrusion detection, and vulnerability scanning.

- Configure network interfaces, routing protocols, and DNS.

- Implement network security measures, such as firewalls and VPNs.

- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues.

- Automate server provisioning using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.

- Manage server lifecycle, including deployment, configuration, and decommissioning.

- Implement backup and recovery strategies for critical data.

- Test backup and restore procedures regularly.

- Stay up-to-date with security best practices and vulnerabilities.

- Implement security measures to protect systems from attacks.

- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

- Write scripts to automate tasks and improve efficiency.

- Use scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Perl.

Required Skills and Experience :

- 5-7 years of experience in Linux system administration.

- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu).

- Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash).

- Experience with network configuration (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).

- Knowledge of system security best practices.

- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM).

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
