Job Title: Regional Sales Manager

Location: Mumbai
Department: Business Development & Sales

Position Overview:

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) for Project Sales in the Commercial Segment will be responsible for driving sales strategies, managing key commercial projects, and achieving sales targets in the assigned region. This role requires in-depth knowledge of project sales, strong leadership skills, and the ability to build relationships with key decision-makers in commercial projects (such as contractors, architects, engineers, and project managers).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development & Execution: Develop and implement sales strategies for the commercial segment, specifically focusing on project-based sales, to drive revenue growth and market share within the assigned region.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including large commercial developers, contractors, architects, and consultants. Understand their project needs and deliver appropriate solutions.
  • Project Sales & Tendering: Lead the end-to-end process for project sales, including pre-sales, tendering, negotiating, and closing sales with a focus on large-scale commercial projects. Ensure compliance with client specifications, timelines, and budget.
  • Market Research & Competitor Analysis: Conduct market analysis to identify new business opportunities in the commercial sector. Monitor competitor activities and trends to stay ahead in the marketplace.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the technical team, project managers, and marketing to ensure smooth execution and delivery of commercial projects.
  • Team Leadership & Management: Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to sales teams in the region. Develop training programs to improve team performance and ensure adherence to company policies and sales targets.
  • Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Prepare regular sales forecasts and progress reports. Present performance updates to senior management and recommend corrective actions if necessary.
  • Contract Negotiations & Closures: Manage contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company while aligning with the client's expectations.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction by addressing any concerns or issues promptly, and ensure the smooth handover of completed projects.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all project sales activities are compliant with company standards and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate documentation of sales processes, contracts, and project progress.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Business Development or in a similar Building material ( Lights, titles, furnitures, glass , Bath & sanitary) .
  • Strong understanding of the Lighting market in the Location Region.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving revenue targets and business expansion.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Master Business Administration – Sales
