This includes the creation, development, design, and improvement of products, software, applications, and services. These roles are responsible for the development of computer programming systems and applications including the design, coding, testing and deployment of products and solutions to meet business obligations.

As a Senior Associate, youll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

• Software Engineer - Senior Associate

  A software engineer is a key resource responsible for developing and delivering new capabilities within the application; works closely with technical owners to ensure alignment; plans, oversees and reviews delivery of individual work items; supports current resources and assists onboarding of additional resources; conducts quality reviews and develops guidelines and procedures; connects with the broader software engineering community for standards, methodologies, tools, training and collaboration for continuity, quality and re-use.

  Role Description

• Independently executes and delivers new capabilities with high-quality based on documented requirements
• Actively participate in both technical and functional discussions relative to ongoing and future user story development
• Provide input to the development of project initiation documents including objectives, scope, approach and deliverables, when needed
• Communicate implications of development decisions, issues and plans
• Establish strong working relationships with the development team, business, operations and other IT team members
• Participate in and support cross-team process improvement initiatives
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of application guidelines, standards, policies and procedures and disseminate to IT teams
• Ensure documentation is captured in a knowledge repository; publicize deliverable location to the organization as necessary
• Collaborates with technology owners and researches industry trends to assist project development and operational support activities

 

Qualifications & experience

• 5+ years of experience in information architecture
• BS Computer Science, BS Information Systems or equivalent experience
• Understanding of relevant information system technologies and the agile software development life cycle; including planning, execution and review
• Strong organization and communication skills with the ability to concisely articulate status, issues and risks
• Experience working with cloud native technologies and PaaS offerings (Azure preferred)
• Hands-on development experience with .NET technology stack preferred; C#, MongoDB, Azure PaaS, Azure DevOps and CI/CD Pipelines (including YAML)
• Experience writing unit tests using xUnit or other test frameworks
• Experience with version control systems like Git
• Preferred Hands-on development experience with frontend libraries and frameworks such as React
• Preferred Experience using and developing Generative AI or Generative AI Tools ie. OpenAI, ChatGPT
