Primus Global - Oracle EBS/SCM Technical Consultant - Implementation & Support (5-8 yrs)

Job Overview :

Cognizant is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Oracle EBS SCM Technical Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in Oracle EBS Supply Chain Management modules and a proven track record of successfully delivering solutions in complex business environments. This role requires a deep understanding of the P2P and O2C cycles, as well as strong development skills using PL/SQL, APIs, and other relevant technologies. The consultant will be responsible for gathering requirements, designing solutions, developing and testing code, and supporting implementations.

Responsibilities :

Requirement Gathering & Analysis :

- Act as the Domain Expert for Oracle EBS SCM, leading requirement gathering sessions with business users.

- Analyze existing business processes and identify areas for improvement.

- Lead discussions to assess deviations between current processes and desired future state.

- Document requirements clearly and concisely, creating functional and technical specifications.

- Translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Solution Design & Development :

- Design, develop, and enhance RICEW/CEMLI objects within the Oracle EBS environment.

- Utilize PL/SQL, Standard APIs, Open Interfaces, Reports (including XML Reports), and Workflow (preferred) to build and

customize solutions.

- Develop and maintain Forms (preferred) as needed.

- Demonstrate expertise in Database Modeling and Oracle TCA.

- Apply strong Performance Tuning skills to optimize application performance.

- Effectively debug and troubleshoot issues.

SCM Module Expertise :

- Possess deep functional and technical knowledge of core Oracle EBS SCM modules: Purchasing (PO), Order Management (OM), Inventory (INV), Bills of Material (BOM), Work in Process (WIP), and Advanced Pricing.

- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Order-to-Cash (O2C) cycles.

Implementation & Support :

- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including System Analysis (AS-IS), Requirement Study, Functional and Technical Design Documentation, Test Plan Preparation, Unit Testing, System Integration Testing, Conference Room Pilot (CRP), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Issue Management, and Documentation.

- Provide post-implementation support and troubleshooting.

Communication & Collaboration :

- Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Collaborate effectively with business users, other developers, and project managers

Required Skills :

- 5-8 years of experience as an Oracle EBS SCM Technical Consultant.

- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle EBS R12.

- Deep understanding of core SCM modules (PO, OM, INV, BOM, WIP, Advanced Pricing).

- Expertise in PL/SQL development, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages.

- Proficiency in using Oracle APIs, Open Interfaces, and Reports (including XML Reports).

- Solid understanding of P2P and O2C business processes.

- Experience with Database Modeling and Oracle TCA.

- Strong Performance Tuning and Debugging skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
