Role Summary
Accounting team s responsibility is to ensure accurate accounting and reporting under Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and company policies. This position will support various financial reporting, fund accounting and other accounting services carried out by the team in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.

Business Unit personnel and management per the relevant accounting activity or query
Finance teams
Internal Audit team
Support (HR, IT, Administration, Facilities)
Job Requirements
Education
B.Com graduate; M.Com, CA inter or semi-qualified CA, MBAs in Finance preferred
Relevant Experience
4+ years experience (Senior Analyst) in financial accounting; real estate accounting or property accounting a plus
Hands-on General Ledger and Sub ledger accounting experience
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is a plus
Technical Know-how/Tools used
Application based knowledge of key finance concepts and ability to leverage them to manage simple and standard queries related to finance processes and reports
Improve processes pertaining to recording, adjusting, and reconciling financial transactions and events
Basic knowledge and ability to analyze financial statements and data to prepare financial performance reports, understand business concepts and internal tools.
Expertise in MS Office, Excel specifically
Experience in property management software, such as Yardi is a plus
Behavioral Skills
Ability to respect team diversity, and adapt own actions to ensure inclusivity at workplace
Ability to understand individual goals and their alignment to the organizational objectives.
Job Requirement
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Perform general accounting activities and record financial transactions
2. Perform analysis and reconciliations of accounts as necessary for any discrepancies
3. Record month end Journal entries such as accruals, prepayment amortization, receipts, and payments
4. Prepare monthly Balance Sheet schedule and analyze, identify and resolve issues in any unreconciled balances
5. Reconcile Bank Statement with General ledger and resolve open items
6. Identify Fixed Assets transactions and record capitalization and depreciation entries based on accounting policy
7. Ensure timely closing of month-end books
8. Provide adequate support to auditors (internal/external) and address various audit inquiries as needed
9. Participate in process improvement initiatives, including automation
10. Implement successful intercompany transition of activity from local entities into central finance function
11. Perform such other accounting related functions that may be assigned from time to time.
