Role - HR Compliance Manager

An HR Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that an organization adheres to all applicable labor laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance programs, as well as providing guidance and training to employees and management on compliance-related issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance:
Monitor and interpret federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations to ensure organizational compliance.
Develop and implement policies and procedures that align with legal requirements and best practices.
Policy Development and Implementation:
Create and update HR policies and employee handbooks to reflect current laws and organizational standards.
Ensure that all HR practices are compliant with relevant regulations, including equal employment opportunity (EEO), wage and hour laws, and workplace safety.
Training and Education:
Conduct training sessions for employees and management on compliance topics, including harassment prevention, diversity and inclusion, and ethical conduct.
Develop educational materials and resources to promote awareness of compliance issues.
Audits and Investigations:
Conduct regular audits of HR practices and processes to identify areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.
Investigate employee complaints and concerns related to compliance issues, ensuring thorough documentation and resolution.
Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, training sessions, and investigations.
Prepare reports for senior management and regulatory agencies as required.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with legal counsel, HR teams, and management to address compliance-related issues and develop strategies for improvement.
Serve as a point of contact for employees seeking guidance on compliance matters.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
A Master s degree or relevant certifications (e. g. , Professional in Human Resources - PHR, Senior Professional in Human Resources - SPHR) is a plus.
Experience:
Typically requires 5+ years of experience in HR compliance, human resources, or a related field.
Experience in a compliance role within a corporate environment is highly desirable.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and educate others.
