Job Description
Certification and Codes:
ISO Standards:
Conduct internal audits for ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), ISO
9001 (Quality Management), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and
Safety).
Ensure compliance with all relevant ISO standards and maintain
certification status.
Develop and update documentation related to ISO standards.
NBC Code Compliance:
Ensure all building projects and facilities comply with the National
Building Code (NBC) of India.
Conduct regular reviews and updates to ensure ongoing compliance.
Electrical Safety:
Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems and equipment to
ensure safety and compliance with relevant standards.
Identify potential electrical hazards and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure proper maintenance and functioning of electrical systems to
prevent accidents.
Hazard Assessment and Risk Mitigation:
Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the
workplace.
Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize potential hazards.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations to prevent
workplace accidents and injuries.
Fire Safety and Equipment:
Conduct fire safety audits and ensure compliance with fire safety
regulations and protocols.
Inspect and maintain fire safety equipment, including fire
extinguishers, smoke detectors, fire alarms, sprinklers, hydrants, and
hose reels.
Develop and conduct fire safety training programs and emergency drills
for staff.
Protocols for Commercial Buildings:
Ensure that all commercial buildings comply with relevant safety and
building codes.
Develop and implement safety protocols for building maintenance,
emergency response, and evacuation procedures.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of commercial buildings
to ensure compliance.
Technical Knowledge:
Stay updated with the latest industry standards, codes, and
regulations related to building safety, fire safety, and electrical
safety.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to the management team on
safety-related matters.
Develop and deliver training programs to staff on various safety
topics and protocols.
Scrap Management:
Develop and implement effective scrap management protocols.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Safety Management, or a related field.
Certified Internal Auditor for ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and ISO 45001.
Minimum of 3-5years of experience in conducting safety audits and
implementing safety protocols in commercial or industrial settings.
In-depth knowledge of the National Building Code (NBC) of India.
Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and regulations.
Experience with fire safety equipment and protocols.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in using safety management software and tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional certifications in safety management or related fields.
Experience in conducting safety training programs and emergency drills.
Familiarity with behavior-based safety programs (e.g., DuPont).
