Job Title: Senior Direct Sales Representative

Location: India - Remote


Job Overview: The Senior Direct Sales Representative is responsible for driving the company's direct sales efforts, managing key accounts, and expanding the customer base within a defined territory or market segment. This role requires a highly motivated, results-oriented professional who can build strong relationships with clients, understand their needs, and present tailored solutions that align with their business objectives. The Senior Direct Sales Representative will play a critical role in achieving sales targets and contributing to the company's overall growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute effective sales strategies to generate new business opportunities and achieve sales targets within the assigned territory.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing ongoing support and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and qualify new leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking, and referrals. Cultivate a strong pipeline of prospects and close deals to meet or exceed revenue goals.
  • Sales Presentations & Proposals: Deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations tailored to meet client needs. Prepare and present formal proposals and negotiate contracts to finalize sales.
  • Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs. Use this information to adjust sales tactics and identify new opportunities in the marketplace.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with marketing, product, and customer service teams to align sales efforts with organizational goals and provide feedback on client needs and market demands.
  • Sales Reporting & Forecasting: Provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports to senior management. Track sales metrics and performance to ensure goals are being met.
  • Client Retention: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service and proactively addressing any issues or concerns.
  • Negotiation & Closing: Lead negotiations with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements while maintaining profit margins. Close deals and ensure smooth transitions to the account management team.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience:

  • 5+ years of proven experience in direct sales, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience in B2B sales, preferably in large enterprise.
  • Experience selling education/skilling or technology solution.
  • Effective at establishing new customers and renewing existing customers.
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline and utilizing CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).

Preferred Skills:

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Experience in selling to govt customers, state and central skilling agencies.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-centric approach.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple accounts, and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence clients at all levels.
  • High level of motivation and a results-driven mindset.
  • Experience with complex sales cycles and large deal negotiations.

Travel:

  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory 20% to 30% of the time
