Managed placements in the university/academic institution at least for 3-5 years, networked directly with the industry B2B/B2C & subject matter experts, Sales & Business development experience in education, banks/insurance, will be an added advantage


SummaryCore being Placements which is driven by creating & maintaining connect with the Faculty, Students and Alumni. Additionally, outreach & onboarding of Industry through Alliance in which placement is one aspect among others. Responsible for developing new and maintaining existing relationships with alumni, recruiters/industry partners, directly involved in the placement process for students, managing alumni relations, and leading project management initiatives related to career services and institutional development. This role ensures that students are equipped with the skills, opportunities, and networks necessary for successful career outcomes. Additionally, contribute in revenue generation / project delivery. Key Responsibilities: 1. Placements:

  • Initiate and manage the campus recruitment and placement process, ensuring successful job placements for graduating students in Undergraduate, Post Graduate & Professional courses.
  • Collaborate with faculty to prepare students for interviews, including resume writing, mock interviews, profiling and skill assessments.
  • Maintain a database of job opportunities, internships, and co-branded programs from industry partners.
  • Analyze placement trends, monitor student employment outcomes, support MIS with correct & timely data and generate reports for senior leadership.
  • Organize and host career fairs, Pre-placement talks, networking events, and on-campus recruitment drives.

2.  Alumni Relations:

  • Prioritize alumni network to provide recruitment to maximum graduating students.
  • Develop and maintain a regular alumni engagement strategy to strengthen the institutions network of successful graduates.
  • Collaborate with alumni to create mentorship programs, guest lectures, and networking opportunities for current students.
  • Organize alumni reunions, conferences, and recognition events to maintain active engagement.
  • Track alumni career progressions and use their success stories to inspire current students and promote the institution’s reputation.

3.  Industry Partnerships:

  • Getting industry to the campuses.
  • Identify and cultivate new partnerships with companies, industry leaders, and professional organizations to create job, internship, graduation projects and masterclasses/mentorship opportunities for students.
  • Strengthen existing relationships with corporate partners, ensuring a pipeline of opportunities for students across various courses. Keeping the record of the same on daily basis.
  • Develop collaborative & financially beneficial projects with industry partners to create hands-on learning opportunities for students under faculty led projects.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, hiring needs, and workforce developments to ensure alignment of student skillsets with market demand.
  • Assist in managing advisory board meetings & members

4.  Career Development Initiatives:

  • Work closely with faculty and the career services team to organize workshops, seminars, and guest lectures focused on career readiness.
  • Track & ensure alignment with School For Life (SFL) to deliver training sessions for students on professional development & industry-specific skills.
  • Collaborate with academic departments to align curriculum with industry needs, ensuring students are well-prepared for their careers.

5.  Project Management:

  • Manage tasks provided in projects.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design and implement new initiatives that enhance revenue generation & institute promotion.
  • Develop and track timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful completion of projects.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of programs, providing data-driven insights to inform continuous improvement.

Other aspects to facilitate employment .

  • Convincing companies to recruit students through campus placements and internships for students.  
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Good exposure/presence in social networking platforms.
  • Strong Presentation Abilities, must be an out of the box thinker and excellent team player
  • Advanced computer skills on MS Office (Excel, Advance Excel, Power BI, PPT, etc.)
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work in stretched timelines.
  • Coordinate between various courses & campuses
  • SPOC and communication link for all events and programs organized for students related to team career services activities.
  • To be able to handle student counselling and query solving. Have knowledge and full understanding about the course curriculum of all schools
  • Communicating with internal & external stakeholders
  • Any other responsibility as may arise

Key CompetenciesThe Placement Manager plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between academia and industry, ensuring the successful transition of students from the classroom to the professional world. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, internally driven to create meaningful career opportunities for students while fostering strong industry and alumni partnerships.

  • Proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with corporate partners, industry leaders, and alumni.
  • Ability to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously along with project management skills
  • Excellent communication, networking, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of current job market trends and employer expectations.
  • Familiarity with database management systems for tracking placements and industry contacts.
  • Experience working in education institution of repute.
  • Certification in project management is a plus.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data to measure the success of career services programs.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders. (Adaptability)
  • Knowledge of employment regulations, and industry standards related to placements
  • Collaboration & Team work
