We are currently hiring Assistant Director- Placement for Division 2( SOB & SOM) for the Pune Location for MIT WPU.

Assistant Director Level 12+ Years of Relevant Experience is required

Job Description:

To provide leadership with vision that inspires the Placement & Internship teams towards maximum and desired outcomes which are in line with objectives of MIT World Peace University

3. Key Accountability

Strategic

• Strategize and plan the vision and specific annual goals for successful Career Services & Internships activities in line with organisational objectives. This includes guiding the respective HoDs in developing required process documents with ongoing process development activities which help deliver the day-to-day operations with ease
• Plan, develop, implement, and promote the programmes that support the Career Services & Internship goals

Operational

• Lead the Placements & Internships team, provide management, advise, support and guidance to the team members on day-to-day operations
• Identify the relevant talent to fulfil the human resource requirement for smooth functioning of Placements & Internships operations
• Train and build the capacity of the Placements & Internships team members as appropriate by being versed in all the departmental strategy and planning initiatives, communications, and budgeting.
• Monitor and manage direct reports, ensure accountability in satisfactory attainment of goals. This includes (a) the ongoing reviews with the direct reports and the teams to drive the positive, quantitative and qualitative outcomes; (b) update the progress of Placements & Internships goals through meetings with CEO- CIAP which includes; outcome results; strategic plans for success; any other support required to make the departments success
• Play an active role in taking up the tasks which would help in successful operations of Placements & Internships

Financial and Budget

• Oversee all financial decisions of the office of Placements & Internshipss including setting and monitoring budgets, and ensuring clear, independent financial audit.

Collaborations

• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with Heads of Schools and employers to drive the Career Services & Internships teams to yield maximum positive outcomes in achieving student success.

Academic

• Undertake positive efforts which lead to the vision and purpose of Career Services & Internships that include a continuous improvement in; (a) students competency in gaining positive results in their future career options; (b) quality of internships, PPOs and final placements; (c) student satisfaction in seeking advice on their academic challenges, internship outcomes, preparedness for the internships and placements, etc
• Promote the culture of positivity, collaboration, continuous improvement, and commitment to quality in all aspects of Placements & Internships activities

External Representation

• Represent MIT WPU on various professional bodies of repute which is value adding building relationship with the community, government agencies, society at large and with ultimate objective of building MIT WPU brand 4. Person Specification

Substantial leadership and management experience

• Able to provide effective and inspiring leadership by being actively involved in all programs and services, developing a broad and deep knowledge of all programs

External relations and Corporate engagement

The ability to advocate at the highest levels regionally and nationally on behalf of the University and to influence the decision maker.

Minimum Qualification & Experience

• MBA from Premier Institute with 12 to 18 years of experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral
• Strong network with varied industry sectors across the globe
• High levelof sophistication and maturity in social and professional settings
• Driving for positive results both in quantitative and qualitative measures
