Position Title: Head of Retail Sales

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Head of Retail Sales to lead our retail sales operations for the Genset business in India and nearby markets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving revenue growth, managing dealer networks, and ensuring market penetration while aligning with the company's strategic goals. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of the retail sales landscape, and the ability to deliver on revenue and margin targets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Revenue & Margin Accountability:
- Take complete ownership of achieving revenue and margin targets for the retail sales business.
- Ensure the quality of sales, network development, product support, branding, and new product development align with management's direction and overall business strategies.
2. Market Coverage & Network Development:
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure comprehensive market coverage across market segments and geographical areas.
- Build, manage, and strengthen relationships with dealers and distributors to expand market reach.
3. Business Growth & Market Expansion:
- Identify and explore new business opportunities and growth potential in key accounts.
- Conduct competitor analysis (SWOT) to increase Share of Business (SOB) and gain a competitive edge.
4. New Product Launches & Market Entry:
- Lead the execution of plans and initiatives for new product launches, market entry strategies, and brand visibility campaigns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product rollouts and market penetration.
5. Strategic Planning & Execution:
- Provide strategic direction to the retail sales team to achieve business objectives.
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to adapt strategies accordingly.
6. Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the retail sales team to achieve individual and team targets.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Education: B.E/B.Tech, Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 20 years of experience in retail sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in the Genset or related industry, with knowledge of engines
- Strong track record of achieving revenue and margin targets in a competitive market.
- Skills:
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and business development.
