Job Summary:

Seeking a highly experienced Head of Quality with global exposure to lead QA/QC functions for generator (DG set) manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Six Sigma, process improvement, and product quality management, ensuring compliance with international standards and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Strategy & Leadership:

- Develop and implement a global quality strategy aligned with business objectives.

- Lead and mentor a global quality team, fostering a culture of excellence.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quality into product development and manufacturing.

Six Sigma & Process Improvement:

- Drive Six Sigma initiatives to reduce defects and improve efficiency.

- Implement Lean Manufacturing principles to optimize processes.

- Conduct root cause analysis and lead problem-solving efforts.

Product Quality Management:

- Ensure DG set products meet design specs, performance standards, and customer expectations.

- Monitor quality metrics (e.g., First Pass Yield, Defect Rates) and drive improvements.

- Oversee resolution of customer complaints and warranty claims.

Global Standards & Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and ISO 50001.

- Manage global quality audits and corrective actions.

- Stay updated on global regulatory requirements.

Supplier Quality Management:

- Evaluate and qualify suppliers based on quality standards.

- Conduct supplier audits and resolve quality issues in the supply chain.

Customer Focus & Global Exposure:

- Act as the primary contact for global customer quality concerns.

- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to improve satisfaction.

- Ensure delivery of quality documentation and certifications.

Training & Development:

- Train employees on quality standards and Six Sigma methodologies.

- Promote quality awareness and accountability across global teams.

Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.

- Experience: 20+ years in quality management, Six Sigma Black Belt, and global manufacturing (power generation, heavy engineering, or automotive).

- Certifications: Six Sigma Black Belt/Master Black Belt required; CQA/CQM preferred.

- Technical Skills: Proficiency in FMEA, SPC, Root Cause Analysis, 8D; knowledge of diesel engines and generator sets.

- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to work in a multicultural environment.

- Reduction in defect rates and warranty claims.

- Improvement in process efficiency and product quality metrics.

- Successful completion of global quality audits.

- Timely resolution of customer complaints.
