Lead Project Manager - Cards Conversion - Contractual (9-15 yrs)

Our client, a leading consulting firm in the Middle East, is undertaking a strategic project to migrate their card portfolio from one card scheme to another. They are seeking a highly experienced professional to lead this initiative as the Lead Project Manager - Cards Conversion.

This is a contractual role with an initial duration of 30 months. This is an onsite role based site in Muscat, Oman.

Key Responsibilities

- Establish and manage a Project Management Office (PMO) to oversee the execution of the conversion program

- Develop and finalize the Migration Masterplan, incorporating all necessary elements to ensure a smooth transition

- Serve as the primary coordination point between the consulting firm and the client, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration

- Drive the operational aspects of the conversion, including documenting the customer conversion journey

- Oversee the day-to-day execution of the conversion program, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards

- Monitor and report on the conversion's performance, providing regular updates to stakeholders

- Lead portfolio optimization activities to achieve desired portfolio behavior post-conversion

Qualifications and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, Technology, or a related field.

- PMP or equivalent project management certification

- Minimum 10 years of project management experience, with a focus on managing large-scale, complex projects in the banking or payments domain

- Proven track record in managing end-to-end conversion programs, including portfolio optimization activities

- Experience in launching banking/payment products and solutions across multiple markets

- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and technology delivery frameworks

- Demonstrated ability to manage project schedules and resources to deliver on time and within budget

- English fluency is required; Arabic proficiency is an advantage
