Experience : 5 to 8 Years

Working Hours : 2 PM - 10 PM (5 days a week, Work from Office)

About the Role : We are looking for a skilled Manual Testing Engineer with expertise in Manual Testing, Basic Python Scripting, and REST API testing. As a Manual Tester, you will be responsible for testing the functionality, usability, and performance of web applications. You will collaborate closely with development teams to ensure high-quality releases by identifying bugs, documenting issues, and verifying that applications meet the required specifications.

Responsibilities :

- Perform manual testing on web-based applications, focusing on functional and regression testing.

- Create, maintain, and execute detailed test plans and test cases based on project requirements.

- Conduct REST API testing to verify the integration and performance of web services.

- Collaborate with development teams to identify and document defects in JIRA.

- Report and track software issues through bug management processes.

- Participate in requirement analysis and provide input regarding testing feasibility.

- Perform testing across different browsers, devices, and environments to ensure compatibility.

- Conduct basic scripting using Python for automating simple test tasks when required.

- Ensure applications meet quality standards and work as expected before deployment.

- Provide clear feedback and status updates on test results to stakeholders.

Must-Have Skills :

- 5 to 8 years of experience in Manual Testing.

- Basic scripting knowledge using Python for simple test automation and task automation.

- Proficiency in REST API testing using tools like Postman or similar.

- Strong experience in writing test cases, executing tests, and reporting bugs.

- Knowledge of different testing types, including functional, regression, and smoke testing.

- Experience with bug tracking and project management tools, especially JIRA.

- Strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to analyze requirements and design appropriate test cases.

- Effective communication skills to collaborate with developers and team members.

Nice-to-Have Skills :

- Experience with automation testing tools like Selenium (for manual testers looking to expand).

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in Agile environments.

- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and how testing fits into those processes.
