Software Test Engineer - Manual/Automation Testing (3-7 yrs)

Job Description :

Key Accountabilities :

- Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on requirements and specifications.

- Execute functional, regression, integration, and system tests.

- Perform manual and automated testing, including API testing and UI testing.

- Identify, document, and track defects using a bug tracking system (Jira, Bugzilla).

- Work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python and testing frameworks (pytest, unittest).

- Automate test cases for regression testing and other repetitive tasks.

- Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.

- Ensure the quality and reliability of software releases.

- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to developers.

- Adhere to quality assurance best practices and methodologies.

- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Bachelor's in Engineering (Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field)

- 3-4 years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on Python.

- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and testing types (functional, non-functional, regression).

- Experience with Python and related testing frameworks (pytest, unittest, Selenium).

- Experience with API testing tools and techniques (Postman, REST Assured).

- Experience with SQL and databases.

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desired Skills & Experience :

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI)

- Experience with test management tools (TestRail, Zephyr)

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

- Knowledge of performance and security testing
