Manual Test Engineer - Functional/Regression Testing (4-6 yrs)

Job Title : Manual Test Engineer

Experience Required : 4+ Years

Notice Period : Immediate

Location : Pan India

Key Responsibilities :

- Validate telecom systems, including prepaid/postpaid activation, billing (BSCS, BRM), Siebel CRM, and network provisioning.

- Gain a deep understanding of telecom domain knowledge and industry best practices.

- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases (functional, regression, integration, system, user acceptance).

- Analyze test results, identify and log defects in bug tracking systems (Jira, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps).

- Track and monitor defects throughout the lifecycle.

- Develop and execute automated test scripts using Selenium, Cypress, and Cucumber.

- Collaborate with the development team to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.

- Perform API testing using tools like Postman, Swagger, and SOAP UI.

- Validate API responses for accuracy, performance, and security.

- Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

- Proactively identify and mitigate potential quality risks.

- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle.

Required Skills :

- Strong understanding of telecom systems, including billing, CRM, network provisioning, and related processes.

- Experience in manual testing methodologies (functional, regression, integration, system, UAT).

- Experience in API testing (REST, SOAP).

- Basic understanding of automation testing concepts and tools (Selenium, Cypress, Cucumber).

- Proficiency in bug tracking tools (Jira, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps).

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.

Desired Skills :

- Experience with database testing (SQL).

- Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

- ISTQB or other relevant testing certifications.

- Experience with Oracle SQL and Java SE 7
