Vikgol - Manual Tester (3-5 yrs)

Job Summary :

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable QA Manual Tester to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for manually testing software applications to ensure the quality, functionality, and performance meet the defined requirements. The role will involve writing and executing test cases, identifying issues, and ensuring a smooth software release.

Key Responsibilities :

- Review project requirements, technical specifications, and design documents to create detailed test cases and scenarios.

- Execute manual test cases, including functional, regression, integration, and system testing.

- Identify, document, and track defects using defect management tools.

- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other team members to resolve issues and enhance software quality.

- Perform exploratory testing and ad-hoc testing as needed.

- Work closely with the development team to reproduce and debug issues, providing detailed information to aid in resolution.

- Conduct cross-browser and cross-platform testing to ensure compatibility.

- Ensure test cases and test results are documented and maintain clear test artifacts.

- Continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools.

- Participate in sprint planning and provide test-related feedback to the development team.

- Provide test status updates and communicate test progress to stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Proven experience in manual testing of web and mobile applications.

- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, regression, and integration testing.

- Ability to write detailed test cases and document defects clearly.

- Proficiency with bug tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or others.

- Experience in using test case management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr).

- Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

- Knowledge of SQL for database testing and data validation.

- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience in automation testing (using tools like Selenium, QTP, etc.) is a plus.

- Familiarity with performance testing and tools like LoadRunner or JMeter.

- Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN).
