Forklift Mechanic

Job Purpose/Summary

The purpose of a Forklift Mechanic is to repair and maintain forklifts and other industrial equipment to ensure they

are functioning properly. This involves inspecting, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing engine, hydraulic,

electrical, and other systems. The Forklift Mechanic must be knowledgeable of industry safety standards and

regulations and be able to identify potential malfunctions and take corrective action. The Forklift Mechanic must also

be able to provide advice and guidance to operators on how to maintain their equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

Ensuring smooth functioning of equipment's. Maintain,repair and troubleshoot various types of forklifts, perform

Preventive Maintenance inspections on forklifts, diagnose and repair forklift mechanical, electrical & hydraulic

systems, test and inspect parts and equipment to ensure they meet safety standards,install new or modified parts and

accessories.Advise operators on proper use of forklifts.

Required Skills

Hydraulic System Knowledge,,complete Service report and other paper work to maintain record i.e. History cards,log

sheet. Ordering replacement parts, reporting to Manager daily basis.

Preference to-

Candidates who are from Relevant field i.e. Auto Industries, Steel Industries , Aluminium Plants,Tube Plants &

candidates having good exposure of forklift of Voltas ,JCB, Godrej & ACE make.
