Quality Engineer/ Quality Manager

Role & responsibilities

Must have knowledge of Aluminum Flat rolled product ( Rolling mill, Annealing, finishing line)

1. Quality Assurance & Control:

• Implement and maintain quality control processes for aluminium production.
• Conduct inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, or other relevant quality standards.
• Maintain and update control plans, FMEA, and PPAP documentation.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA) for quality issues.

2. Process Improvement:

• Work with production teams to enhance product quality and reduce defects.
• Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Optimize processes to improve efficiency, reduce scrap, and enhance product performance.

3. Customer & Supplier Quality Management:

• Address customer complaints by performing failure analysis and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure incoming raw materials meet quality standards.
• Conduct supplier audits and provide feedback for continuous improvement.

4. Compliance & Documentation:

• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards (ASTM, DIN, BS, EN, JIS, etc.) related to aluminium products.
• Prepare and maintain quality reports, documentation, and inspection records.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation.

5. Testing & Metrology:

• Conduct mechanical, chemical, and dimensional testing of aluminium products using CMM, spectrometers, hardness testers, tensile testing machines, and other lab equipment.
• Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of measuring instruments.
