ECM Migration Specialist - Sitefinity (10-12 yrs)

Job Title: Sitefinity Architect ECM Migration Specialist.

Job Overview:.

- We are seeking an experienced Sitefinity Architect to lead our Enterprise Content Management (ECM) modernization initiative, focusing on migrating from Lotus Domino to Sitefinity CMS.

- The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise in Sitefinity with strong project planning and stakeholder management capabilities.

- This role requires demonstrable experience in legacy system migrations and the ability to drive complex technical assessments while managing stakeholder expectations.

Key Responsibilities :

Technical Architecture :

- Lead the design and architecture of Sitefinity CMS-based solutions for enterprise-level ECM migration.

- Develop migration strategies for complex content types, including Rich Text Fields, nested tables, and document management systems.

- Design solutions for mapping legacy workflows and security models to Sitefinity's architecture.

- Suggest design for integration between Sitefinity and peripheral enterprise systems.

Migration Planning & Execution :

- Conduct comprehensive assessment of existing ECM systems and content structures.

- Lead stakeholder interviews to gather requirements and understand business processes.

- Develop detailed migration strategies, including tools selection and validation approaches.

- Create and maintain project artifacts including requirements documents, migration plans, and technical specifications.

- Define success criteria and metrics for migration initiatives.

- Design and oversee pilot migrations, including environment setup and testing strategies.

Project Management & Leadership :

- Create detailed project roadmaps with clear phases, milestones, and resource requirements.

- Develop risk management strategies and mitigation plans.

- Lead technical teams through migration planning and execution phases.

- Facilitate communication between technical teams, business stakeholders, and system administrators.

- Create and maintain project documentation.

- Present migration strategies and progress updates to senior stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Technical Expertise :

- 10+ years of experience in web development with at least 5 years focused on Sitefinity CMS.

- Strong proficiency in C#, .

- NET, MVC, ASP.

- NET, and front-end technologies.

- Advanced knowledge of content management systems and migration methodologies.

- Experience with database design, SQL Server, and data migration tools.

- Knowledge of content migration tools and accelerators.

Migration & Project Management Experience :

- Demonstrable experience in large-scale content migration projects.

- Experience in legacy system modernization initiatives.

- Background in project planning and execution.

- Experience in stakeholder management.

- Experience with requirements gathering.

- Proven ability to create technical documentation and project artifacts.

Leadership & Communication :

- Experience leading technical teams through complex migration projects.

- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

- Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

- Experience in risk assessment and mitigation planning.

- Optional but Preferred Qualifications:.

- Experience with Lotus Notes/Domino migrations.

- Certified Sitefinity Developer qualification.

- Experience with multi-site Sitefinity implementations.

- Background in insurance or financial services industry.

- Project management certification.
