Senior Quality Assurance Engineer - Python/Playwright Testing (8-10 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior QA Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. As a key member of our QA team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test suites, including UI and API tests, to identify and address potential issues early in the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for web applications and APIs.

- Conduct functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.

- Develop and maintain automated test suites using Python and Playwright for UI testing.

- Develop and execute API tests using tools like Postman or Swagger.

- Implement BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) principles using Specflow with NUnit for test automation.

- Develop and maintain robust and maintainable automation test frameworks.

- Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.

- Log and track defects effectively using bug tracking tools (i.e., Jira).

- Conduct root cause analysis of defects and work with developers to resolve issues.

- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

- Communicate testing results and findings effectively to the team.

- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.

- Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes and methodologies.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest testing tools, technologies, and industry best practices.

Qualifications :

Essential :

- 8+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on automation testing.

- Strong proficiency in Python programming.

- Extensive experience with UI automation using Playwright.

- Experience with BDD frameworks (i.e., Specflow with NUnit).

- Experience with API testing and tools (i.e. Postman, Swagger).

- Experience with Agile methodologies, preferably SAFe Agile.

- Experience with version control systems (i.e., Git).

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
