Desktop/system Engineer

Role & responsibilities

A Desktop Engineer with three years of experience provides technical support and maintenance for end-user computing environments. This includes installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues to ensure optimal user productivity.

Preferred candidate profile

• Hardware and Software Support: Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop hardware, software, peripherals (printers, scanners), and mobile devices.
• User Assistance and Troubleshooting: Provide remote and on-site support for end users to diagnose and resolve technical issues related to operating systems, applications, and connectivity.
• Operating System and Application Deployment: Manage and deploy OS images and software applications using deployment tools, ensuring systems are updated with the latest versions and patches.
• Network Connectivity: Troubleshoot and resolve user connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi, VPN, and LAN connections.
• Asset Management: Track and manage IT inventory, ensuring accurate records of hardware and software assets.
