Assistant Manager HR

Role & responsibilities

As the Assistant Manager HR in retail Operations, you will play a vital role in managing and overseeing all human resources activities within the mall environment. You will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and procedures to support the mall's overall business objectives and ensure a positive and productive work environment for all employees. Your primary focus will be on talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and compliance with labor laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Talent Acquisition and Recruitment:

• Develop and execute effective recruitment strategies to attract and hire qualified candidates for various positions within the mall, including security personnel, maintenance staff, customer service representatives, and administrative roles.
• Collaborate with hiring managers to identify job requirements, create job descriptions, and conduct interviews to select the most suitable candidates.
• Manage the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth integration into the mall's culture and operations.

2. Employee Relations and Engagement:

• Promote a positive work culture and employee morale by implementing initiatives to improve employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
• Address and resolve employee concerns, grievances, and conflicts in a timely and fair manner, adhering to company policies and labor laws.
• Organize and oversee employee recognition programs and events to celebrate achievements and foster a sense of belonging among the mall's staff.

3. Performance Management:

• Develop and implement performance management processes, including goal setting, regular performance evaluations, and feedback sessions to help employees grow and succeed in their roles.
• Work closely with department heads to ensure performance issues are identified and addressed appropriately, providing coaching and guidance as needed.

4. Training and Development:

• Collaborate with the Training and Development department to design and deliver training programs that enhance the skills and competencies of mall staff.
• Identify the training needs of different departments and create personalized development plans for employees to support their career growth.

5. Compliance and Legal:

• Stay updated on labor laws, regulations, and industry best practices related to HR management, ensuring the mall's compliance in all HR activities.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including contracts, performance evaluations, and other necessary documentation.

6. Health and Safety:

• Collaborate with the Health and Safety team to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all employees and visitors to the mall.
• Participate in the development and implementation of emergency procedures and crisis management plans.

7. Reporting and Analytics:

• Prepare regular HR reports and metrics to track key performance indicators, turnover rates, recruitment progress, and other relevant HR data.
• Use data insights to make informed decisions and recommendations for continuous improvement in HR processes.
