Job Description

Support product owner with business analysis for projects with large scope/complexity
Provide analysis to help generate a roadmap/feature map for a stream of work
Work with product owner on maintaining the backlog
Perform analysis on requirements and be accountable for the successful refinement of user stories such that they meet ready criteria
Work with business partners to ensure that the priorities for each sprint/release are understood
Lead own schedule of work and work with customers or domain authorities, with little supervision
Liaise with and, where appropriate, manage, analysts from other organisations undertaking projects for CTS
Through our Project Lifecycle:
-- Demand Assessment - assist CTS Capability Leads to formulate business cases inputting analysis and views on high level business goals and outcomes.
-- Business Planning - begin eliciting business requirements and modelling processes (as-is/to-be, using Business Processing Mapping), recording in standard documentation, and socialising the initiative with other CTS teams i.e. Architecture, DevOps and with Managed Services Team
-- Definition and Design - facilitate workshops to evolve scope, gather detailed requirements, develop use cases and begin visualising the end result, using standard tools and techniques.
-- Delivery and Deployment - consulting role, providing clarification services regarding the project Vision, Scope and Requirements, plus assessing and handling Change Requests through the standard process. Assist testing teams craft suitable test scripts and support user acceptance testing activities as required.
-- Support and Measure - help resolve whether any production defects reports are the result of inadequate requirements definition or poor delivery. Support Product Owners and customers in analysing outcomes to support the business case.
Coach junior Business Analysts or other members of the team
Use templates, tools and (internal) processes consistently, helping evolve all as required, mentor junior members on use when needed.
Develop and maintain good relationship with business customers - acting as their advocate, plus other CTS project team members.
Maintain a solid grasp of industry trends around appropriate technologies and Business Analysis techniques.
Remain familiar with company news, policies, products and culture.
Keep required training up to date.

All of our business customers across the organisation that rely on Finance Engineering to drive solutions to help them achieve organisational goals and objectives.

Technical /Professional Skills Proficiencies:

Crucial Skills:

Demonstrable understanding of key Order-to-Cash configuration and functional processes on SAP R/3 (in S/4 Hana would be beneficial)
Solid grasp of the following SAP modules and functions : SD (Order Mgmt, Contracts, Billing) / FI (AR, GL, Cash Mgmt) / Revenue Recognition / Interfacing techniques (EDI) / SPRO
Demonstrable understanding of Finance principles and financial analytics
Proven commercial experience as a business analyst, having worked on multiple technology or business projects or programs.
Solid experience in business analysis techniques, such as gathering requirements through interviews and workshops, or modelling processes and use cases.
Demonstrable experience working throughout a project lifecycle, engaging with various customers and handling and/or reviewing appropriate project documentation.
Strong customer management, with confidence to challenge preconceptions of outcomes and solutions.
Good understanding of Finance industry trends both business and technology

Desired Skills:

Good communication, presentation and customer engagement skills
A good understanding of software development lifecycles and methodologies
Good familiarity with project management and architecture disciplines
Proficient with business analysis tools and Microsoft Office products
Experience and knowledge of Billing, Accounts receivable, Credit Management, Cash collection and/or Revenue Calculation (including pricing) would be very useful.
Experience with Agile delivery methodology
