About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Governance Manager to lead our data governance, quality, and metadata initiatives. This role is critical in driving data integrity, developing audits and controls, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and business requirements. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in data management, leadership, and stakeholder collaboration, along with the ability to prioritize and manage complex operational tasks effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Decision-Making & Issue Resolution: Make informed decisions and resolve issues related to operational execution for data governance, data quality, or metadata.
- Strategic Prioritization: Recommend strategies to prioritize and remediate data quality issues that align with business needs or regulatory compliance initiatives.
- Audit & Controls Development: Identify and recommend opportunities for developing audits and controls around business processes, data quality targets, and metadata standards.
- Team Management: Manage and develop a team of individual contributors focusing on defining data quality requirements and delivering data integrity initiatives.
- Lifecycle Management: Oversee operational execution of activities across all stages of the remediation lifecycle.
- Process Optimization: Direct the team in developing solutions, tools, and processes to maintain companywide data quality, control standards, and data sourcing.
- Collaboration: Work with peers, colleagues, and senior managers to ensure a consistent approach to companywide remediation efforts.
- Escalation Management: Act as the single point of contact for escalations related to low-to-moderate complexity issues.
- Resource Allocation: Manage people and financial resources efficiently to achieve organizational objectives.
- Mentorship & Talent Development: Mentor and guide team members while assisting in talent acquisition and development.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 4+ years in Data Management, Business Research, Analytics, or Project Management,
- Leadership: At least 4+ years of leadership experience.
Desired Qualifications
- University degree in Business or a related discipline.
- 15+ years of experience in Data Management or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- 8+ years of experience in applying and executing business process controls or assurance.
- 4+ years of experience in change management, process formulation, team leadership, and stakeholder management.
- 4+ years of project management experience supporting organizational process change.
- Strong experience with data monitoring, domain management, and master/reference data management.
- Proven ability to develop and implement initiatives in alignment with program roadmap objectives.
- Excellent collaboration skills with business and technical subject matter experts.
- Strong written and oral communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
- Hands-on approach with eagerness to learn new processes and domains.
