Sr Manger Civil Engineering (Design Engineering Team)

Urgently hiring for Sr Manager Civil & Structural Engineer in Nagpur / Pune

Position Overview:

The Manager - Civil Engineering & Structural (Design Engineering) will be responsible for leading and overseeing the design engineering team for civil engineering aspects of large-scale environmental projects. This role requires a strong technical background in civil engineering design, along with the ability to manage design processes, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and support project execution teams. The Manager will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality designs that contribute to the successful implementation of water and wastewater treatment, and other environmental engineering projects.

Key Qualification:

• Bachelor's or Masters degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or a related field.
• 10-15 years of experience in civil engineering design, preferably in environmental water treatment, waste To Energy Plants or related industries or infrastructure projects.
• (Desired) Past Track record of Site & Commissioning assistance
• Strong understanding of design software, (STAAD,TEKLA, similar tools, and methodologies).
• ERP knowledge will add Weightage
• Experience working on EPC & BOOT projects will be preferred
• Must be aware of Safety Factor for Wind & Seismic Load; Geotechnical Report.
• Familiarity with local regulations, codes, and compliance requirements.
• Proven experience leading or managing design teams.
• Ability to balance technical expertise with project execution and stakeholder management .
• Understanding of Key Deliverables such as Civil Design Basis, RCC Design Calculations, RCC Drawings; Civil Foundations; Civil BOQ etc
• Strong knowledge of project engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Leadership and Execution:

• Lead the civil design engineering team in the development of designs for water, wastewater, bio gas and environmental engineering projects.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards, local regulations, and sustainability guidelines.
• Manage the preparation of design documents, including drawings, specifications, and reports.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Work closely with the project management team, clients, and external consultants to ensure designs meet project objectives.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated and optimized design solutions.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all civil engineering design-related communications.

Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance:

• Ensure all designs adhere to local and international engineering codes and regulatory requirements.
• Perform quality control reviews to ensure designs are accurate and meet the necessary project specifications.
• Oversee the preparation and submission of design documents for regulatory approvals and permits.

Team Development and Mentorship:

• Lead and mentor junior engineers in the design engineering team, promoting knowledge sharing and technical skill development.
• Conduct training sessions to ensure the team is updated on the latest design trends, tools, and technologies.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.

Process Improvement and Innovation:

• Continuously improve design processes, methodologies, and tools to increase efficiency and innovation.
• Identify opportunities to incorporate sustainable and cost-effective solutions into designs.
• Ensure that all designs align with the company’s environmental sustainability and ESG goals.

Project Financial and Cost Management:

• Assist in managing design budgets and timelines, ensuring designs are delivered within scope and on time.
• Collaborate with the project management team to evaluate cost optimization opportunities during the design phase.
