Role & responsibilities for Immediate Joining of Sr. Draftsman Nagpur Location .

Responsibilities / Job Descriptions - Sr. Draftsman Mechanical-Design Engineering

Candidate shall be reporting to Departmental Head - & shall perform the following responsibilities

Design & Technical Oversight:

• To Conceive & Plan various stages of Design and Development work of each Project with time schedule and organize, execute the drawing / design work as per technical specifications of the Project contract requirements.

• Ensure availability of adequate resources such as competent, personnel, hardware and software, stationary etc needed for Design Engineering activities.

• Prepare & assign stagewise task for Design Engineering activities within the time schedule.

• Review the progress weekly and maintain man hour utilization data and evaluate the same for corrective and preventive action.

• Timely preparation and submission of engineering deliverables such as P&ID, PFD, Equipment Layout, Equipment GA Drawings, Piping Layout, Isometrics, Support GA , Fabrication Drawing, etc which shall be reviewed & approved by the competent authority before the same is released to the concerned authority for necessary action.

• Preparing Bill of Quantities for Piping, Raw material for Fabricated Items etc

• Ensure effective implementation of Quality Management System (QMS) requirements as per the latest version of ISO 9001 International Standard including control over records.

• Preparation / awareness / Review of 3D Model and related software (Auto plant 3D; Inventor ; SolidWorks)

• Development of pipe drawings for all Projects in three dimensions for accurate BOQ for pipes and cables

• Preparation / awareness / Review of 2D drawings and related software (Autocad; Brickscad).

• Site visits as and when required for drawing validation with actual execution

• Ensure that all drawings are drawn/prepared, reviewed and approved by authorised persons and the hard copies are signed by the respective persons, stamped with the "control copy mark' as well as to whom it is issued , before it is released for appropriate action by all concerned.

• Ensure proper control over obsolete documents including withdrawal of such documents from all points of issue

• Monitor the activities of subordinates and their key result areas.

• Any other responsibility that may be assigned from time to time by the competent authority.

Required Qualifications

Minimum ITI Diploma (Mechanical /Civil ); (3D modelling Preferred )

8 to 12 yrs Experience
