Software Test Engineer - Automation & Manual Testing (3-5 yrs)

Role : Software Test Engineer

Location : Kerala

Key Responsibilities :

Automation Testing :

- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for automation testing.

- Expertise in designing and executing automation test scripts.

- Skilled in creating and managing XPATH for automation scripts.

Frameworks & Tools :

- Proficiency in using the TestNG testing framework.

- Experience in Cucumber BDD framework for behavior-driven development.

- Familiarity with Apache POI for reading external data sources.

- Knowledge of Page Object Model (POM) using Maven for web application testing.

Defect Tracking & Reporting :

- Experience in defect tracking using tools like Jira.

- Ability to generate and present detailed defect status reports.

Manual Testing :

- Strong knowledge of functional, regression, and black-box testing.

- Capable of preparing test scenarios, test cases, and test environments.

- Reviewing and analyzing test cases prepared by team members.

- Hands-on experience in GUI, usability, and user-friendliness testing for web applications.

Performance Testing :

- Experience in using JMeter for performance testing.

Database Testing :

- Basic understanding of SQL Server queries and database testing is preferred.

IDE & Tools :

- Proficiency in using Eclipse, IntelliJ, or similar IDEs for creating test suites.

Test Management :

- Develop, review, and implement software test plans.

- Ensure sign-offs from relevant stakeholders.

- Track and adapt to new/updated project requirements, modifying testing artifacts as needed.

Quality Assurance :

- Creative problem-solving to enhance product test coverage and effectiveness.

- Develop and implement test strategies, plans, and reports for unit, functional, regression, and performance testing.

Qualifications & Skills :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

- 3+ years of experience in software testing.

- Strong analytical and communication skills.
