Assignments Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Business Development & International Sales Manager - Solar Business to drive growth, expand market presence, and increase revenue through the development of new business opportunities in international markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and pursuing global sales opportunities, establishing relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring the company's products/services are effectively marketed and sold worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development:
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in international markets.
- Develop and implement strategies to enter new global markets and grow the company's presence.
- Establish strong relationships with international clients, distributors, and strategic partners.
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscapes.
- Develop and maintain a sales pipeline by identifying prospects and generating leads.
2. Market Research & Expansion:
- Identify potential new international markets and connect with buyers of solar material.
- Analyze market trends, competition, and customer demands to adapt the sales strategy.
- Build and maintain relationships with EPC, Contracts, distributors, resellers, and partners in international markets.
3. International Sales Strategy:
- Create and execute international sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Drive sales efforts by preparing proposals, presentations, and product demonstrations tailored to international markets.
- Negotiate and close international contracts, ensuring alignment with company goals and profitability.
- Set and monitor sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics for international markets.
4. Export Management:
- Oversee and manage the export process for solar materials, including solar mounting structure, panels, inverters, batteries, and related products.
- Develop and execute export strategies to expand the company's market share in global markets.
- Handle all aspects of international shipping, customs, and compliance for solar products.
- Coordinate with shipping and freight companies to ensure timely deliveries and cost-effectiveness.
5. Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with international trade laws, import/export regulations, and solar industry standards.
- Prepare and manage all necessary export documentation, such as invoices, shipping documents, customs declarations, and certificates of origin.
6. BD, Sales & Customer Relations:
- Act as the business developer & primary point of contact for international clients, providing exceptional service and support.
- Collaborate with the plant & sales team to tailor export plans that meet customer requirements.
- Manage negotiations, contracts, and pricing for export orders, ensuring customer satisfaction and business profitability.
7. Logistics Coordination:
- Plan, organize, and oversee the logistics and shipment of solar materials internationally.
- Work closely with internal teams, including production and logistics, to ensure timely fulfillment of export orders.
- Ensure packaging and labeling meet international regulations and customer requirements.
8. Financial Management:
- Prepare and manage the export budget, ensuring cost efficiency in all processes.
- Analyze profitability and margins from international sales and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Manage payment collection and ensure timely resolution of any financial disputes.
9. Reporting & Analysis:
- Track and report on the performance of export activities, including sales growth, market penetration, and operational efficiencies.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on export activities and market opportunities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- B. Tech & MBA - International Business/SCM/Marketing & Sales
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Solar Business Development & International Sales in solar industry.
- Sound track record of successfully expanding solar business into International Market.
- Experience working in diverse global markets (e.g., Europe, Asia, North America).
- Knowledge of international trade regulations, export documentation, customs requirements, and compliance.
- Deep knowledge of global solar industry, trends, manufacturers, and market dynamics.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to interact with international clients and vendors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP System.
- Excellent in Fluency in English.
