Head MEP- Real Estate Project (Dubai)

Role

The incumbent will be responsible for handling all matters related to MEP in a high rise mixed use Real Estate Project in Dubai

Responsibilities

• Responsible to lead and contribute to the design, development, and improvement of MEP systems, products, and components.
• Lead and participate meetings for design development of mechanical components, system, this includes creating detailed drawings, 3D models, and specifications using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
• Responsible for the correctness, accuracy and complete multi-disciplinary coordination of the design documentation in accordance with QA/QC review processes
• Ensure that mechanical designs, as designed by the consultants, comply with relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
• Provide clear direction, set goals, and guide the design consultants in achieving an e icient, cost efficient design, while fostering a collaborative and innovative approach.
• Communicate and coordinate with all disciplines and stakeholders.
• Develop and review the design drawings and project calculations at all stages from concept to IFC. • Strong experience with all the UAE local authorities.
• Detailed knowledge of local and international design standards, BSEN, ASHRAE, NFPA, etc
• Ensure effective project communication, coordination, and timely completion.
• Identify Value Engineering options.
• Integrating sustainable and energy efficient solutions into system design

Preferred candidate profile

• The ideal candidate should be BE- Mechanical Engineering with more than 15 years experience in building MEP engineering, particularly in high end hospitality projects within the Gulf region
• Proven track record in building services design with different types of sectors, including high rise, commercial, residential, retail, Healthcare, Industrial, refurbishment, etc;
• Working knowledge of REVIT MEP, Navisworks, AutoCAD &HAP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a deep understanding of mechanical principles and design methodologies.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Have a good knowledge of buildability, construction techniques, procurement routes, risk assessment and claim assessment.
• Understanding of the financial and commercial management of projects.
