Procurement Head-Mines (Senegal- West Africa)

18-22 years of relevant experience in Procurement / Supply Chain operations Role

The incumbent will be overall responsible for all procurement related activities for the Mines

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of the procurement strategy, plan and processes for the business
• Monitor the inventory of raw material & chemicals, spares, consumables etc. at the manufacturing facility as well as the suppliers end to ensure continuous supply
• Conduct the techno-commercial evaluation of new and improvement projects
• Responsible for the end to end supply chain management for new projects
• Manage contracts and services.
• Monitor the statutory, legal, labour and other compliances as per the stipulated government and organizational guidelines
• Analyse audit findings for respective categories and ensure corrective/preventive measures
• Monitor and ensure adherence to the annual procurement budget and drive cost savings initiatives
• Track the international price movement of chemicals and other materials and ensure efficiencies in the procurement process
• Manage the import logistics of chemicals, equipment or spares using different modes (Sea /Air /Road /Train)
• Negotiate favourable terms of purchase agreements with suppliers/vendors etc.
• Responsible for all the documentation and formalities related to customs
• Liaising with the government departments and other stake holders

Preferred candidate profile

The candidate should have a full time degree in Bachelor of Engineering with 18-22 years of relevant experience in Procurement / Supply Chain operations
