Position: Head Procurement
Location: Gurgaon
Reporting to: CFO
Role Overview :
Ferns & Petals (FNP) is the leader and pioneer of the concept of gifting in India. Started in 1994 as a Flower Shop in Delhi, we have now over 350 outlets all over India, delivering happiness across 500+ cities. We also have an international presence in UAE, Singapore, Qatar, Kuwait, etc. with further plans of quick expansion.
The Head Procurement will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing our procurement operations within the fast-paced e-commerce environment. This position will report directly to the CFO and will be responsible for strategically managing the procurement function to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of goods and services.
KRA
1. Procurement Strategy
- Develop and execute a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives and growth plans.
2. Vendor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and conditions.
- Ensure the highest quality of products and services through rigorous supplier evaluation.
3. Cost Optimization
- Continuously monitor and analyze procurement processes to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Negotiate contracts and manage budgets effectively to drive financial efficiency.
4. Supplier Relationship Management
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Address any issues proactively and explore opportunities for collaboration and continuous improvement.
5. Inventory Collaboration
- Work closely with inventory management teams to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Minimize carrying costs and prevent stockouts through effective planning and communication.
6. Compliance
- Ensure procurement activities adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Incorporate sustainability and ethical sourcing practices into procurement processes.
7. Team Leadership
- Supervise and mentor a team of procurement professionals.
- Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
8. Risk Mitigation
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks related to procurement, such as supply chain disruptions and market volatility.
9. Reporting
- Generate and present detailed reports on procurement performance, cost savings, and key performance indicators to senior management.
Desired Qualification & Experience
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Experience:
Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, with a minimum of 8 years in a leadership role.
Core Skills:
- Strong negotiation, contract management, and vendor relationship management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices and industry trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data, make data-driven decisions, and report on key metrics.
Leadership and Management:
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Technical Proficiency:
Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
