Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic and seasoned professional to serve as the Head BD and Corporate Strategy. This role combines strategic oversight of equity investments with the development and execution of corporate strategies to drive sustainable growth and maximize shareholder value. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in equity markets, corporate strategy, deal advisory and investor relations, along with a strong track record of leadership.


Job Description / Role / Responsibilities:


1. Strategic Business Development:

  • Driving Business growth - Create and execute Business Development strategies to meet revenue, profitability, and market share targets.
  • Identify business opportunities and maintain relationships with private equity firms, and other investment partners.
  • Design and execute fundraising strategies, negotiating terms to secure investment while aligning with the company's growth goals.
  • Lead the development of investment presentations, financial models, and due diligence, documentation to attract high-profile investors.
  • Experience of M&A Deal Advisory including Commercial Due diligence,
  • Oversee the financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to model financial projections, manage risk, and assess business performance.
  • Optimize capital structure and drive cash flow planning to ensure the company meets its long-term financial targets.
  • Provide thought leadership on financial strategies to enhance profitability, operational efficiency, and investor confidence.
  • Engage in high-level decision-making regarding mergers, acquisitions, and strategic investments.
  • Lead the development of financial performance metrics to track growth, ROIs, and profitability.

2. Equity Investment Strategy:

  • Oversee the development and execution of equity investment strategies to achieve organizational growth and financial objectives.
  • Lead market research, financial analysis, and valuation processes to identify high-potential investment opportunities.
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers and investment teams to align equity strategies with broader organizational goals.

3. Corporate Strategy Development:

  • Design and implement corporate strategies to support long-term business objectives and competitive positioning.
  • Identify opportunities for growth through mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, or diversification.
  • Conduct business environment analyses, including market trends, competitive landscapes, and regulatory developments.

4. Investor Relations:

  • Serve as the primary liaison for key stakeholders, including institutional investors, analysts, and board members.
  • Communicate corporate strategy and equity performance through presentations, reports, and meetings.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, ensuring transparency and trust.

5. Team Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, including equity analysts and corporate strategy professionals.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Coordinate with other business units to ensure strategic alignment across the organization.

6. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Monitor the performance of equity investments and corporate initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Report regularly to the board and executive team on progress, challenges, and future plans.

Preferred candidate profile

1. MBA from a Tier 1 institute in Finance, or a related field highly preferred.

2. 10-15 years of experience in Equity markets, corporate strategy, investment management, or a related field.

3. Proven track record of leading strategic initiatives and managing startup fund raising high-value equity portfolios.

4. Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills.

5. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging with senior stakeholders and investors.

6. Knowledge of global markets, regulatory frameworks, and corporate governance.

7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (English & Hindi).
