Role & responsibilities

Workshop & Service Operations Management

• Supervise daily operations of the automobile service center or workshop.
• Assign tasks to mechanics, technicians, and service staff based on workload and expertise.
• Ensure all repairs, maintenance, and inspections are performed correctly and on time.
• Monitor work progress and resolve any operational issues.

2. Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Supervision

• Oversee vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines and industry safety standards.
• Perform quality control checks on completed repairs before vehicle delivery.
• Train and guide mechanics in advanced repair techniques and new technologies.

3. Customer Service & Communication

• Interact with customers to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs.
• Provide accurate repair estimates, including labor and parts costs.
• Explain service details, maintenance recommendations, and post-repair instructions to customers.
• Address customer complaints and ensure a high level of service satisfaction.

4. Inventory & Spare Parts Management

• Monitor and manage spare parts stock to avoid shortages or overstocking.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to procure quality spare parts at competitive prices.
• Ensure proper documentation and inventory tracking.

5. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure the workshop follows health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Implement and enforce safety measures for staff and equipment handling.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the service area.

6. Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain accurate records of service jobs, vehicle histories, and parts used.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, or monthly reports on workshop performance.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as service completion rate and customer satisfaction.

7. Team Management & Training

• Supervise, motivate, and evaluate service staff performance.
• Conduct training sessions on new automotive technologies and service procedures.
• Encourage teamwork and resolve conflicts among workshop staff.
